Boston to Bring Together Science, History, and Community: Organizing Committee Invites Participants to the VIII Annual International Medical Congress
Boston, Massachusetts, October 14, 2026.— Celebrating the 25th anniversary of its New England–Boston chapter and the 135th anniversary of the Dominican Medical Association (Colegio Médico Dominicano, CMD), CMD–New England–Boston, in collaboration with the Hispanic Association of Health Professionals (AHPSI), invites healthcare professionals, colleagues, supporters, and friends to register for the VIII Annual International Medical Congress, taking place November 20–22, 2026, in Boston.
This dual celebration connects the enduring legacy of the national CMD with a chapter that has spent a quarter century strengthening professional relationships, advancing medical education, and serving the community. Together, these anniversaries honor generations of physicians whose dedication to science, solidarity, and service continues to inspire.
Under the central theme, “Medicine in Transformation: Scientific Updates, Technology, and Clinical Practice,” the congress will provide opportunities to exchange knowledge, build professional connections, and reflect on the future of healthcare.
The invitation comes from the entire organizing committee: Dr. Kenia Feliz, Dr. Rafael Muñoz, Dr. Elizabeth Salas, Lic. Yovanka González, Dr. Felipe Betances, Dr. Albert Méndez, Dr. Jazmín Del Orbe, Ana Cristina Nova, Lic. Elba Rosa García, Dr. Aritmedes Restituyo, Dr. Fidelina Santiago, and Dr. José de Jesús.
Each committee member is contributing time, experience, and enthusiasm to create a meaningful gathering that honors the past while opening doors to future collaboration. United by this commitment, the full committee encourages participants to register for all three events. One registration and a single payment include three opportunities to learn, connect, and celebrate.
On Friday, November 20, at 11:00 a.m., participants will enjoy a guided visit to Mass General Hospital. The visit will offer an opportunity to explore a renowned healthcare environment and share experiences with fellow attendees. For tour registration and meeting instructions, please contact Dr. Jazmín Del Orbe at 215-554-0325.
On Saturday, November 21, at 6:00 p.m., a cocktail reception and recognition ceremony will take place at the Dominican Consulate in Boston, located at 891 Centre St, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. This evening of fellowship and gratitude will honor individuals whose contributions have supported the organization’s mission and the well-being of our communities. It will also offer a heartfelt occasion to celebrate both institutional anniversaries.
On Sunday, November 22, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the scientific program will serve as the academic centerpiece of the congress. The final venue is pending confirmation and will be announced by the organizing committee.
The scientific program will address subjects shaping contemporary healthcare, including artificial intelligence in the health sciences and clinical research, precision medicine, professional pathways for immigrant physicians, and the relationship between technological innovation and compassionate patient care. The history, key contributors, and legacy of CMD–New England–Boston will also hold a special place in the program.
These discussions will encourage participants to examine medical advances thoughtfully, consider their clinical applications, and keep patients at the center of every decision. Through shared knowledge and experience, the congress seeks to inspire new ideas, partnerships, and practical approaches that benefit the communities we serve.
The official hotel is the Courtyard by Marriott Boston – South Boston, located at 63 R Boston Street, Boston, MA 02125. Attendees traveling to Boston are encouraged to reserve early and review availability and reservation terms through the official hotel booking link.
