AHPSI to Participate in the 17th Annual Health Fair at Boston’s Dominican Cultural Week and Festival
Boston, MA – The Hispanic Association of Health Professionals, Inc. (AHPSI) has announced its participation in the 17th Annual Health Fair, taking place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Franklin Park (1 Franklin Park Road, Boston, MA 02131). The event is part of the Dominican Cultural Week and Festival, organized in partnership with the Casa de la Cultura Dominicana en Boston.
The festival traces its roots back to 1985, when the first Dominican Festival was held in Mozart Park. Over four decades, it has grown into a vital community gathering. The Casa de la Cultura Dominicana en Boston was formally incorporated as a nonprofit in March 2024 to continue and strengthen this legacy. AHPSI extended special recognition to the organization’s leadership, including Luis Matos, Yoleny Ynoa, and Health Fair Coordinator Yovanka M González, for their dedication.
The Health Fair serves as a key pillar of community support, offering free services such as:

Confirmed participating health professionals include Dr. Rafael Muñoz Gautreux, Dr. Carmen Cecilia Ramírez, Dr. Kenia Feliz, and Juan Manuel Baños Martínez, Family Nurse Practitioner. Baños Martínez represents North Shore Internal Medicine in Newburyport, MA, where he provides primary and family care at 28 Green Street.
Beyond direct health services, AHPSI will promote its national certification preparation programs (e.g., Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomy, EKG, and others). The association will also offer individual guidance to foreign-trained health professionals (physicians, nurses, psychologists, dentists, etc.) on how to navigate academic and career pathways in the U.S., as well as provide job referral assistance and resume preparation tips.
Under its mission slogan “Decide to Be Healthy,” AHPSI invites its members, certified professionals, students, and volunteers to join their team for this community initiative.
