Rumba Supermarket Joins as a Solidarity Sponsor of the XIII Annual Elizabeth Community Health Fair
Elizabeth, New Jersey — The Hispanic Association of Health Professionals, Inc. (AHPSI), the Dominican Parade and Festival Committee of Union County, and the XIII Annual Community Health Fair “Decide to Be Healthy” are pleased to inform the entire organizing committee, members, professionals, and collaborators about the valuable support of Rumba Supermarket, under the direction of its owner, Mrs. Esther de la Cruz.
Thanks to this gesture of solidarity, Rumba Supermarket will make it possible for the volunteer staff—who will be offering screening tests, basic evaluations, preventive guidance, and health education—to receive their lunch during the day on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
This contribution represents much more than a food collaboration. It is an expression of recognition toward the professionals and volunteers who will dedicate their time, knowledge, and vocation of service to the well-being of hundreds of families from Elizabeth and nearby communities.
Rumba Supermarket is an establishment dedicated to offering essential household products, including fresh food, meats, vegetables, fruits, grains, Latin products, and everyday consumer items. Its presence constitutes an important commercial resource for the Dominican and Latino community in Elizabeth, by facilitating access to products linked to their traditions, culture, and diet.

Elizabeth holds a strategic economic and geographic position. It is the county seat of Union County, the fourth-largest city in New Jersey, and is located within one of the country’s most active transportation networks, with access to the Newark–Elizabeth port complex, Newark Liberty International Airport, railway stations, major highways, and routes to New York City.
