The Dr. Marcos Charles Santana Health Legacy Award was created to honor the life, memory, and extraordinary legacy of Dr. Marcos Charles Santana, a distinguished Dominican physician, educator, mentor, and community servant. For more than five decades, Dr. Charles Santana dedicated his life to the practice of medicine, the training of generations of health professionals, the promotion of medical ethics, and service to Hispanic communities in the United States and beyond.
