How to use FREE live captions/translation in Google Meet (mobile)
Google Meet offers real-time automatic captions. On eligible accounts, you may also see “translated captions” (live caption translation).
Steps (Android / iPhone)
- Join the meeting using the Google Meet link.
- Tap the screen to display meeting controls.
- Tap More (three dots) → Settings.
- Turn on Captions (Live captions).
- If available, select Translation language (choose the language you want to read).
Important note about language
This congress will be delivered mostly in Spanish. A small number of sessions will be in English. If “translated captions” do not appear on your device/account, you can still use standard live captions in the original language.
