On behalf of the Hispanic Health Professionals Association, Inc. (AHPSI) – New York, and the Organizing Committee of the XX International Multidisciplinary Medical Congress AHPSI | NYC, we are honored to announce the participation of Dr. Rosmery Durán Ubiera as a distinguished guest speaker at our upcoming scientific event.

Dr. Durán will present her morning lecture titled:

Immunology of Addictions: Understanding the Drug–Immunity Connection

This timely and highly relevant presentation will explore the relationship between immune system function and substance use disorders, offering an updated scientific perspective that supports prevention efforts, clinical care, and comprehensive patient management.

Dr. Rosmery Durán Ubiera is a General Physician who graduated from Universidad Central del Este (UCE) in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic. She later earned a Ph.D. in Immunology from the Federal University of Amazonas in Manaus, Brazil, where she developed a strong academic and research trajectory. Her scientific experience has focused on the study of immune system cells and the therapeutic application of medicinal plants. Originally from Santo Domingo de Guzmán, she currently resides in the United States and works in the field of alcohol and drug addiction services in the state of New Jersey.

The XX International Multidisciplinary Medical Congress AHPSI | NYC, held under the central theme “Practical Approach to Immunological Diseases,” will take place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Montefiore Medical Center – Cherkasky Auditorium, 111 East 210th St, Moses Division, Bronx, NY 10467.
