On a special night, where we celebrate dedication and vision in the field of health, we are honored to recognize an individual whose career is a testament to perseverance, commitment and leadership. Dr. Freddy Flores, a proud Dominican, has distinguished himself not only as a medical professional, but also as a mentor and pioneer in the field of nursing.
Born in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Flores began his journey in the world of medicine by graduating from the prestigious Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD). With dreams and aspirations, he crossed borders and settled in Reading, Pennsylvania, where his passion for health and well-being led him to join various organizations of Dominican and Latino professionals. His determination and desire for growth drove him to obtain an associate degree in nursing at EDP University in Puerto Rico, followed by a specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Miami Regional University in Florida. Currently, Dr. Flores continues his academic training, pursuing a postmaster’s degree in Psychiatry as a Nurse.
Dr. Flores’ influence transcends his clinical practice. He has been a beacon of inspiration for dozens of professionals, motivating them to enter the field of nursing and reach higher academic levels. His dedication to the training and development of future health professionals is evident in his participation as a speaker at various events organized by the Hispanic Association of Health Professionals, Inc NY, and the Dominican Medical College of Philadelphia.
It is with great pride and admiration that we present Dr. Freddy Flores with the “Two Decades of Dedication: Healthcare Visionary Award” at our Gala Dinner on March 30, 2024. His tireless dedication, innovative vision and commitment to excellence in the healthcare are an inspiration to all of us.
