Here are the basic requirements for a radiology technician who graduated abroad to get their credentials in the United States:

Education – You need to have completed an accredited radiography program in your home country, usually either an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. The program needs to be equivalent to U.S. radiography programs.
English Proficiency – You will need to demonstrate English proficiency through an exam like the TOEFL or IELTS.
ARRT Exam – To get licensed in the U.S. you need to pass the radiography exam from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
State License – Each state has its own requirements for licensing radiology techs. This usually involves submitting an application, paying a fee, and showing you are ARRT certified.
Visa/Immigration – You will need a visa that allows you to live and work in the U.S. as a radiology technician. Common options are the H-1B work visa or TN visa for Canadian citizens.
Credential Evaluation – To have your foreign education evaluated as equivalent to U.S. programs, you need a course-by-course credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency.
