Dear Members of the Hispanic Health Professional Association,

I am writing this letter with utmost gratitude and appreciation for the honor bestowed upon me on 05/20/2023  in receiving the prestigious VII Dr. Marcos Charles Santana, Health Legacy Award. I am humbled and deeply touched to have been recognized by an esteemed organization that plays a pivotal role in promoting the health and well-being within the Hispanic community.

This award serves as a constant reminder of the vital importance of our roles as healthcare professionals within the Hispanic community. It reinforces our commitment to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to individuals, irrespective of their cultural or linguistic background. Moreover, it underscores the significance of our collective efforts in advancing the cause of health equity.

I wholeheartedly accepted this award, knowing that it represents not only my past accomplishments but also a call to continue striving for improvement and expanding the horizons of our shared cause. This award  belongs to every individual I have had the privilege to assist, every student I have had the pleasure to teach, and every colleague with whom I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate. Without their support, guidance, and dedication, I would not have been able to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of those we serve.

I am grateful to the Hispanic Health Professional Association for providing a platform and empowering individuals within the healthcare field from every part of latin america  is truly commendable. I am proud to be associated with an organization that shares my passion for improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities in our community.

Once again, I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Hispanic Health Professional Association for bestowing upon me this distinguished award. It will continue to inspire me in my journey, fueling my dedication to improving healthcare access and quality for all. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute further to the noble mission of your association and the betterment of our community.

With sincerest gratitude,

Evelyn Llanos MD
