Dr.Evelyn Tuero Llanos: “Lifetime Achievement Award for Leadership and Service in Community Healthcare”

It is an honor for the Hispanic Association of Health Professionals, Inc NY, to recognize Dr. Evelyn Tuero Llanos, distinguished professor and expert in the field of health. Dr. Tuero is the recipient of the prestigious 7th Dr. Marcos Charles Santana Health Legacy Award, which will be presented at the 2000 Art Gallery of Pediatrics, 3332 Broadway, New York, on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Tuero is an outstanding professional in her field, with an outstanding academic and professional career. She has been a professor at the Manati Medical Center Medical Residency Program in Puerto Rico, and is currently a professor at Drexel University, College of Nursing and Health Profession, Hofstra University, School of Nursing and PA program in New York. In addition, she has been on the faculty of Stony Brook University, School of Health and Technology Management, NY and Touro College, School of Health Science, NY.

Dr. Tuero has also been an innovative leader in the field of telemedicine, especially during the Covid19 pandemic. As a member of Wyckoff’s telemedicine advisory team, she was able to provide healthcare services to hundreds of patients affected by the pandemic. Her dedication and leadership in this field make her a pioneer in this modality of service.

Once again, we congratulate Dr. Tuero on her well-deserved award, which represents a testament to her excellence and commitment in the field of health.

WHO HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED WITH THIS AWARD:

It is an honor to formally honor the recipients of the “Dr. Marcos Charles Santana, Health Legacy” Award, who have been recognized for their outstanding work in the field of health for seven years.

The first recipient in 2016 was Dr. Leonardo Paula Cabrera, followed by Dr. Ivan Subervi in 2017 and Dr. Frances Robles in 2018. In 2019, Dr. Edison Rafael Feliz Feliz was awarded this important recognition and in 2021 it was Dr. Sixto Caro who received the award. In 2022 Dr. Pedro Maria was recognized with the “Dr. Marcos Charles Santana, Health Legacy” award. All these outstanding professionals have contributed significantly to the advancement and well-being in the field of health, and their dedication and effort deserve to be recognized and applauded. During this year 2023, our recipient of the 7th annual Dr. Marcos Charles Santana, Health Legacy, is Dr. Evelyn Tuero Llanos, congratulations.
