La familia Restituyo es una familia dominicana de origen español. Los Restituyo llegaron a la República Dominicana en el siglo XVII procedentes de la provincia de Burgos, España. Con el tiempo, la familia se extendió por toda la isla y se estableció en diferentes pueblos, especialmente en La Vega.

The Restituyo family is of Spanish, Basque, and French descent, and is believed to have originated in the Basque region of Spain, possibly in the town of Berriz. The family is believed to have later migrated to France, and then to Puerto Rico in the eighteenth or nineteenth centuries.

The Restituyo family was highly successful in the Dominican Republic in the early 1800s, producing prominent politicians, intellectuals, and military leaders. The most notable members of the family were General José Desiderio Valverde Restituyo and General Ramón Rosario Restituyo.
