What are the requirements to become certified in trichology?
The American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) offers the only certification program for trichology in the United States.
To become certified, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in either biology, chemistry, or a related field, plus two years of full–time experience in the field of trichology. They must also pass an exam administered by the ABHRS.
Additionally, applicants must submit a portfolio of work experience, a letter of recommendation from a physician or hair restoration specialist, and a letter of support from the employer.
