What are the requirements to obtain a family therapy license in Pennsylvania.
In order to obtain a family therapy license in Pennsylvania, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
1. Have a master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
2. Successfully complete an approved post–master’s supervised experience of at least two years and 1500 hours, including at least 100 hours of direct supervision.
3. Pass the Pennsylvania Family Therapist licensing exam.
4. Have a current criminal background check and child abuse clearance.
5. Submit a completed and signed application, including the required fee.
