Dr. Rufino Senén Caba Plasencia.
Dr. Senen Caba, born in Monsenor Nouel, Bonao, Dominican Republic, is the 7th of 9 siblings. He specialized in intensive care at the Hermanos Almeijeras hospital in Havana, Cuba, studied social security at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and also specialized in quality management in health services and modern health management.
DR. FRANCISCO MOSCOSO PUELLO TEACHING HOSPITAL HIS SECOND HOME:
In the renowned Dr. Francisco Moscoso Puello teaching hospital, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, he has worked for more than 25 years, reaching the position of coordinator of the internal medicine program, and also held the position of head of teaching, in said hospital.
DR.SENÉN CABA, HIS GREAT TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
He has also been a professor at 3 different universities, at the Ibero-American University (UNIBE) as a professor of cardiovascular pathophysiology, at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo [UASD] he was a postgraduate professor of intensive care, for the nursing school, and at the Eugenio María de Hostos University, [UNIREMHOS] gave classes on medical semiology.
A WHOLE LIFE DEDICATED TO GREMIALISMO:
Dr. Caba has 38 years of experience as a doctor, also 38 years of union life, more than 32 years as a teacher, as a leader of the medical college, he has held various positions since being president of [ADOMER] association of resident doctors, president 2 times of the district regional, of the Dominican medical college, 2 times president of the Dominican medical college, the largest union of health professionals, in the Dominican Republic, currently with a membership of more than 44,000 members, Dr. Senen Caba, is currently president.
DR. SENÉN CABA AS AUTHOR:
He is co-author of the book “The doctor and the country”, together with Dr. Santiago Castro Ventura.
His book “History of Moscoso Puello Hospital” is in production.
He was the winner of the third prize literary contest AMD 1994, with the story “Friday First”
Dr. Senen Caba is a Newspaper Columnist “Hoy”
DR.SENÉN CABA, HIS PASSAGE THROUGH THE CRISTO REY NEIGHBORHOOD.

Dr. Senen, from an early age, moved to the populous neighborhood of Cristo Rey, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from where he joined several community organizations, offering conferences, workshops, and advocating for better access to health, residents without resources of that neighborhood of Cristo Rey.
DR.SENÉN CABA, CONTRIBUTION IN POLITICS:
Dr. Senen Caba was a candidate for deputy for the national district, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, through the Alianza País party, from which he advocated and fought for the implementation of a health and social security system that guarantees all Dominican men and women access to decent services, a proposal that served to open the debate on a reform in social security, in the Dominican Republic, these recommendations are still in force.
