PANEL STROKE IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC A CALL TO ACTION: BARAHONA III MEDICAL SYMPOSIUM
Objectives and goals of this conference:
Within the III medical symposium, in Barahona, Dominican Republic, to be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the UASD-Barahona campus, we will be celebrating our panel, “cerebro vascular accidents, in the Dominican Republic, a call to the action”, let us remember that in the Dominican Republic, strokes occupy the 2nd cause of death after heart disease, but cerebrovascular accidents represent the first cause of disability, in the entire Dominican Republic, it is estimated that 18,000 patients are affected by acv every year in the Dominican Republic, there is currently no protocol in the country to treat this condition, which means that every day 48 Dominicans are affected by this disease. this panel intends to analyze this condition by making practical suggestions to help reduce the incidence and frequency of this terrible disease, which can be avoided in more than 80%, our Hispanic association of health professionals, feels honored to bring together this group of experts in this area, who will be with us on Sunday, 20, 2022, in the city of Barahona.
