Our Guest: Professor Juan Bautista de Jesús Marte, is a native of San Pedro de Macorís, grew up in Sabana Grande Boyá, Dominican Republic, graduated from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, [UASD], with a degree in Education, mention in social sciences and a specialty in Dominican History, graduated in Theology, did a postgraduate degree in Argentina in research methodology and also has courses in Ethnohistory, America and culture, through the chair of Ethnohistory at the Sorbonne University, Paris, France, he was a professor from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo in the area of social sciences and history, also our guest professor Jesus Marte, was a professor at the St Thomas de Aquino major seminary, Dominican Republic, has been a visiting professor at universities such as Grand Valley State University , from Michigan, to talk about Latino and Caribbean immigrants, and their struggle in the insertion process, in the state of Illinois, has been De Jesus Marte, a teacher in the public education system for more than 20 years, was coordinator of the first program in the state of Illinois, dedicated to the prevention of breast cancer, sponsored by the Betty Ford Foundation.
